Dukes Windows is co-founded by Alex Dukes, based in Hemel Hempstead. We fit windows, doors and conservatories for homes across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and North London.
Dukes Windows was founded to do this properly. We’re a small, honest firm: we handle the quote, the survey and the project management ourselves, and we work with trusted manufacturing partners and experienced fitters to carry out the installation. Every completed job is backed by our ten-year guarantee, in writing.
The firm exists in a particular gap. On one side, the volume installers — call centres, commission-driven sales, a quote that arrives with a discount that expires on Friday. On the other, the national brands who speak in a register that doesn’t suit a homeowner explaining why the dining room is freezing. We sit between the two, and we speak directly to homeowners about their houses.
We tell you the lead time before you sign. We tell you when uPVC is the right answer and when aluminium is. We tell you when we’re not the right firm for the job. None of that is rare in theory — it’s just rare in practice.
A window is a small piece of architecture. It deserves to be drawn, measured, made and fitted properly. We take pride in the detail — the right profile, the right hardware, the right finish for the house — and in leaving a job clean.

My name is Alex, co-founder of Dukes Windows. With over 40 years of combined industry experience across our team, we founded Dukes Windows with a clear purpose: to provide an honest, professional and reliable service within the window industry.
