Privacy
Privacy policy.
This policy explains how Dukes Windows looks after the personal information you share with us — in plain English. We only ask for what we need to reply to you and arrange your home visit, and we never sell your details.
Last updated: 7 June 2026.
Who we are
Dukes Windows Ltd (“Dukes Windows”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England. We design, supply and install windows, doors and conservatories, working from near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire and serving Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and North London.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide what information is collected and how it is used. If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, you can reach us at sales@dukeswindows.co.uk or 01442 600 101.
What we collect
We collect personal information when you contact us through the enquiry form on this website to ask a question or arrange a home visit. That information is:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number; and
- the message or details you choose to include about your project.
Alongside an enquiry, we also record a small amount of technical information — such as your browser’s user-agent string — which helps us tell genuine enquiries apart from automated spam. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not track you across other websites.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect anonymous usage information through Google Analytics — such as the pages you view and the general region you visit from — to understand how the site is used. This is covered in the “Analytics” note below, and you can decline or change your choice at any time.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use the information you give us for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and to arrange and prepare your home visit and quote. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are:
- your consent — when you submit the enquiry form, you are asking us to get in touch about your project; and
- our legitimate interests — namely running our business by replying to people who ask about our work and following up on a quote, in a way you would reasonably expect.
We do not send marketing emails. We will only contact you about the enquiry you made, unless you separately and clearly ask us to keep you updated about anything else.
Separately, where we use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, our lawful basis is your consent — given through the cookie banner — which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we keep the list of people who can see it short. To run this website and handle your enquiry, we use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Sanity — stores the enquiry you submit and the content of this website (data hosting).
- Resend — sends us the email that notifies us a new enquiry has come in.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy- friendly anti-spam check that, when enabled, helps us confirm the form was submitted by a person rather than a bot.
- Railway — hosts and serves this website (web hosting).
- Google Analytics — measures how the site is used, but only if you accept analytics cookies. It runs under Consent Mode and is never used for advertising.
We may also share information if the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid request from a public authority.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only for as long as we need it to deal with your request and for a reasonable follow-up period afterwards — for instance, while we arrange a visit, prepare a quote, or in case you come back to us about the same project. After that, we delete it. Where you go on to become a customer, we may keep records of the work we carried out for longer, to meet our guarantee and our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have a number of rights over the personal information we hold about you. You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you (access);
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date (rectification);
- delete your information (erasure);
- restrict how we use it (restriction);
- stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests (objection); and
- provide your information in a portable, machine-readable format (portability).
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — this will not affect any processing we carried out before you did so. To exercise any of these rights, just email us at sales@dukeswindows.co.uk. We will not charge you, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
We would always like the chance to put things right, so please come to us first if you have a concern about how we have handled your information. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website uses a few essential cookies to work and, only if you accept, Google Analytics cookies to measure how it is used. There is no advertising tracking. You can read exactly what we set, and how to manage or withdraw your choice, in our cookie policy.
